There are three common areas that you can assist with: the donation of cash, goods or your time.
Donations can be made at any time to a special account set up by Horse SA. Funds will be used directly to assist horses (not for humans).

Goods will be required when an emergency is declared, as part of a general media announcement. Goods which will be needed by horse owners include fodder, water troughs, fencing, veterinary first aid items, halters and lead ropes. Stableyard items to assist with horse care, such as wheelbarrows, buckets, stable forks, pooper scoopers, brooms, buckets, feed bins, haynets and hoses.
Volunteers will be called for, especially to support the recovery phase. There will be a number of agencies coordinating volunteer support services. Only requests for very specific tasks to support horses or horse owners will be promoted through this website, including positions to help coordinte horse volunteers.
